PODCAST: 30 Years a Vicar, the Story of Rev. Minato

Rev. Matro Shares Rev. Minato’s Story

In The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), men training for pastoral ministry will often serve for at least a year as a vicar. They will train under another pastor during this year. Not all church bodies around the world, however, do this in the same way.

In this episode, Rev. Larry Matro, LCMS missionary and educator to Papua New Guinea (PNG), joins the podcast to share the story of Rev. Minato. He served for 30 years as a vicar in PNG before receiving ordination this last spring.

To learn more about Rev. Matro and his work, please visit his website or send him an email. Please consider supporting their work in PNG
