Teaching with the Tagakaulo Tribe Photo Gallery

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) started working among the Tagakaulo tribes in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The work resulted in the founding of the Tagakaulo Lutheran Church of Christ in the Philippines (TLCCP). The Rev. Todd Roeske travels back to the island of Mindanao to encourage and help this tribe understand and proclaim the Word of God.

This work was featured during the LCMS national convention in July. As a follow up to the video, this photo gallery features pictures from the southern Philippine Island of Mindanao, and Lutheran Theological Seminary, the seminary of the Lutheran Church in the Philippines (LCP).

The first gallery shows pictures from a Tagakaulo congregation in the mountains of Mindanao.

The second gallery below shows a bit of the life in the Tagakaulo area. It also shows a second congregation where the congregation invited Roeske to preach again.

As noted in at the end of the video, two young men from the TLCCP are attending seminary in Baguio City. The LCP seminary, Lutheran Theological Seminary, provides theological training in English. The LCMS sponsors these two men during their seminary studies. The Rev. Roger James teaches theology at the seminary and his wife, Amy, teaches English.
