VIDEO: New Opportunities in Indonesia and Cambodia

  • Post category:Asia / Partners

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) celebrated 125 years of international mission work this year. As part of this celebration, the Asia region created a series of videos that share how Christ is working in Asia. The videos were first shown at the 67th Regular Convention of the LCMS.

The first video showed the work of the Church in India and Papua New Guinea. The second video features the work of LCMS missionary the Rev. Todd Roeske in the southern Philippines.

This third and final video discusses new opportunities for supporting emerging partners in Asia. The Indonesian Christian Lutheran Church (GKLI) reached out to help their neighbors in need. When they needed extra assistance, the Asia region gladly walked alongside them.

In Cambodia, new opportunities for service came through the collaboration of numerous agencies. These included Luther Institute of Southeast Asia (LISA), Lutheran Heritage Foundation (LHF), Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM)Garuna Foundation, Concordia Welfare and Education Foundation (CWEF) and the Lutheran Church — Canada
