Children’s Activities at Spain Assembly

Story by Missionary Christine Lehman, Photo credit: Johanna Heidorn

This past October, The Spanish Lutheran Church held their annual Assembly. The Assembly is an opportunity for all the members of the Spanish Lutheran Church to come together. One of the many blessings, is the ever-growing number of children. Shelee Warner and I were tasked with providing study and activities for the children. Thirteen children attended the Assembly and were divided by age.  We chose a few stories to teach and share, all the while teaching the children the importance of remembering their baptisms and sharing the good news of Christ Crucified for the forgiveness of our sins.

After our lessons, crafts, and practicing our song, it was time to play! We had a great park where the kids could run and play together. Before the Divine Service, the children sang the hymn “Me Guia Cristo,” which means “Christ Guides Me”. They did a wonderful job!

We as missionaries continue to be blessed by this church body. We are thankful for their faithfulness and hunger for the Gospel. Please continue to pray for the members of the Spanish Lutheran Church.
