The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) celebrated 125 years of international mission work this year. As part of this celebration, the Asia region created a series of videos that share how Christ is working in Asia. The videos were first shown at the 67th Regular Convention of the LCMS.
The first video showed the work of the Church in India and Papua New Guinea. This second video features the work of LCMS missionary the Rev. Todd Roeske. He worked among the Tagakaulo tribe in the southern Philippines.
At first, Roeske established a seminar system for training local pastors. Now, with the support of the LCMS and the Lutheran Church in the Philippines, two men from the tribe are attending Luther Theological Seminary in Baguio City.
