Story by Deaconess Cheryl D. Naumann, VDMA Project Director

Many pastors and seminary students in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region are expressing their thanks and gratitude for another great resource provided through the VDMA Project: The Lord’s Supper by Rev. Dr. John Stephenson.

The Lord’s Supper is the fifth book of the Confessional Lutheran Dogmatics series to be translated into Spanish by the VMDA translation team. The 13-volume series was originally produced in English by Luther Academy, which has graciously given permission for the series to be translated and used by VMDA account holders, as well as at Luther Academy conferences held in conjunction with LCMS missions in the LAC region.

The purchase of The Lord’s Supper for distribution by the VDMA Project was a gift from Lutheran Heritage Foundation (LHF). Dr. Matthew Heise, Executive Director for LHF commented, “Lutheran Heritage Foundation is more than pleased to support the work of the LCMS in Latin America and the Caribbean through the publication of resources in the heart language of the people! Especially pertinent is how a proper understanding of the Lord’s Supper assures us that we can approach God’s table in the sure confidence that every sin will be wiped away. It is a joy to share this comfort with our Spanish-speaking brothers and sisters in Christ through this volume from the Confessional Lutheran Dogmatics series which is now available in Spanish – The Lord’s Supper!”
