At the end of May, the VDMA Project provided pastors and seminary students in Latin America with an eBook of Las Cuerdas de Salvamento de Amor (The Lifelines of Love) by the Rev. Dr. Peter M. Kurowski. This little volume reminds readers that a successful marriage needs to be nurtured by God with the gifts of His Word and Sacraments, which include repentance and forgiveness between spouses, as well as God’s forgiveness through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The May 23 Mercy Center Conference at Seminario Concordia el Reformador in the Dominican Republic featured a new workshop titled WORD AND SACRAMENTS: source and center of healthy married life. This workshop, written by Rev. Professor Sergio Maita, is based on Pastor Kurowski’s book and will be offered as one of several courses provided by the Mercy Center to LCMS Missions and LCMS partner churches throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region.
