Christmas Comes to Project 24

The children from P24 Kabichbich receive their Christmas gift bags

December 2021 was a special time for the children at the Project 24 sites and Beyond 24. They all received Christmas gift bags. This was the first time that this event took place. The Project 24 advocates, LCMS missionaries, and Program Coordinator Jennifer Hummel worked along with sponsors and schools to put this together.

The gift bags contained something for each child and something they could share with their family. Each bag included a t-shirt, socks, a card from the LCMS Africa team, letters from schools in the USA, sweets, and biscuits, laundry soap for each child. Cooking oil and flour were for the family. The children and their families were delighted to receive these wonderful gifts.

“Many thanks to all of the team members who planned for the 2021 Christmas gifts to the Project 24 children. I recognize the efforts of the P24 advocates, schools, and sponsor families for their generous contributions. To the East Africa Field Office, thank you for the planning, purchasing, packaging, and distribution to all sites. To the ELCK leadership, thank you for your endless efforts in making this a success.” John Kissinger – Project 24 Director.
