Today we want to take the opportunity to thank Pastor Anthony DiLiberto, his wife, Jamie and their four children for their faithful, dedicated and valuable service in the Latin America and Caribbean Region.

Rev. DiLiberto has served as a church-planting pastor in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico for the past two years. His work has revolved around spreading the Gospel amidst ongoing, long-term disaster response for multiple disasters. When he arrived, the island was very much still in recovery mode following Hurricane Maria. This year added a long series of earthquakes, the pandemic and some tropical storms to keep things interesting. The family has weathered each of the disasters with steadfast faith and confidence, continuing to faithfully bring God’s Word to the people of Puerto Rico.
Before becoming a pastor, Anthony served as a mercy outreach specialist in Perú for six years, beginning in 2008. Jamie, a Lutheran school teacher, joined the mission team in 2010. She and Anthony were married in 2012 and continued to serve another two years together in Perú.

The DiLibertos’ tradition of serving with steadfast faith and confidence will continue, no doubt, as they travel life’s road together. Anthony has accepted a Divine Call to serve as the pastor at the same church where he served as a vicar, Grace Lutheran Church in Henderson, Nevada.
Anthony, Jamie, Eliana, Gabriella, Lucas and baby Joseph will be missed, but as they embark on this next segment of life’s journey, we pray that God would continue to bless their work, guard and keep them steadfast in the Faith.
