Mekane Yesus Seminary in Addis Ababa Ethiopia trains pastors in a catchment area for about 8 million Lutherans. A Masters in Theology is provided. Currently the Mekane Yesus church has almost 14,000 congregations with only 2,800 pastors. This project provides scholarships to complete one of a two-year accredited program in Addis Ababa allows pastors to lead and instruct other pastors in various colleges and training centers and address the shortage of pastors within the remote areas of this largely agricultural nation. Cost for a student to participate in the Master’s of Theology program is about USD $2,575 per year.
