The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod has supported work in Togo since 1980 and partners in medical mercy work. The Lutheran Church of Togo is a partner church of the LCMS. The LCMS currently supports the Lutheran Center for Theological Studies (CLET) located in Dapaong. The CLET trains pastoral candidates from the French-speaking countries of Togo, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Benin, Burkina Faso, Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The LCMS is also supporting the development of a Lutheran Day School in Dapaong.
