Project ID: ZA0001-60604
The Lutheran Theological Seminary in Tshwane, South Africa is jointly supported by the Lutheran Church in Southern Africa (LCSA) and the Free Evangelical Lutheran Synod in Southern Africa (FELSiSA), Mission of Lutheran churches (MLC) in Germany, and the LCMS. Currently 35 men from seven different countries are training to become pastors committed to teach the truth, share Christ in their native languages, and trust in God’s promises (Isaiah 55:11). Many of the emerging Lutheran church bodies in Africa do not yet have the capability of providing theological education for their own seminarians. This project provides seminary support for administration and teaching so that these students are prepared to be ordained by their sending church bodies. LTS fills an important niche in preparing men for ministry all through Africa.
